Nike

In-App Ad Campaign 2023

Nike is one of the world’s most recognizable athletic brands, known for its cutting-edge products and bold, iconic style.

The Design Challenge - Nike’s main goal for this project was to showcase new product releases in a way that felt both dynamic and personalized to the viewer. They wanted a clean and impactful experience that could update in real time with their product feed, while still staying true to their well-established brand aesthetic. There were a few key challenges: the creative needed to reflect Nike’s identity, adapt across screen sizes, and be built in a way that encouraged clicks and conversions. On top of that, we had to work with limited assets and find a way to bring the experience to life with speed and clarity.

The Solution - I created three interactive ad variations, each designed to feel premium, performance-driven, and unmistakably Nike:

Ad 1: Highlighted a hero sneaker release with a minimal layout, bold typography, and clear CTA. The focus was on the Nike Air Zoom Alphafly, set against a clean white background to let the product stand out.

Ad 2: A carousel-style layout featuring seasonal apparel like the Nike Sportswear Therma-FIT. This design used layering and motion to add depth and energy, while keeping the interface simple and intuitive.

Ad 3: Integrated a live product feed with a looping background video and a “Shop Now” button that felt both urgent and sleek. This ad made it easy for users to scroll through current inventory in real time, driven by Nike’s catalog.

All three formats were built to be fully responsive and interactive, so they worked seamlessly across all screen sizes.

The Process - I started with a quick round of inspiration gathering from Nike’s website to match their visual tone. I created low-fidelity mock-ups in Photoshop, then collected and edited assets directly from Nike’s site to build high-fidelity prototypes.

Utilizing Adikteev’s creative builder (along with After Effects animation), I was able to bring the designs to life and give Nike a realistic preview of how the final ads would look and function. Once approved, I moved on to implementing the product feeds and final builds. Nike approved the three creative versions without any notes. They were happy with the look and feel, and appreciated having multiple designs to test and adapt depending on campaign goals.

Based on the campaign results, two of the formats were eventually iterated into a hybrid version to help reduce creative fatigue and keep performance strong.

This project was a great blend of strong branding, practical design thinking, and hands-on creativity. I enjoyed shaping a concept that felt true to Nike’s DNA while delivering a flexible, visually compelling ad experience.
